Geofeed

Also known as: RFC 8805 geofeed, self-published geolocation

A CSV file, published by the address holder per RFC 8805, mapping their prefixes to geographic locations for accurate geolocation.

A geofeed is how a network authoritatively states where its prefixes are used. It is a simple CSV (prefix, country, region, city) published at a URL and referenced from RIR WHOIS records, defined by RFC 8805.

Geofeeds are the most accurate geolocation source available because they come from the operator itself, overriding third-party guesses. They are widely used to correct mislocated IP space after re-assignments or transfers.
